Understanding missing results
Why did a profile return no email or phone?
By Volt Enrich
A missing contact result means the run did not return a usable detail for that requested field. It does not mean the person has no email or phone. First check which fields were selected and whether processing finished.
Start with a profileGoogle sign-in and approved access required.
Check the field selection first
Volt Enrich requests only the fields you select. If you selected Work email, the Personal email and Mobile phone cells stay blank because those details were not requested.
Before starting another run, check the original selection. A field that was never requested is different from a selected field that finished without a result.
Separate searching from a finished result
Searching means the selected field is still being processed. Wait for the row to finish before assessing contact availability. You can leave the page and reopen the same saved run from Recent to check its progress.
When a run is complete, review the selected fields individually. A profile may return an email while no mobile number is available. One returned field does not guarantee the others.
A finished lookup can have no usable contact detail
Not every requested detail is available for every profile. The result alone may not establish why a particular email or number was missing, so avoid assigning a cause that the run does not show.
A no-match result does not establish that a person has left their employer, stopped using email, or cannot be contacted through an existing relationship. It describes the outcome of the requested enrichment, not the person's circumstances.
Keep unfinished work separate from no match
A failed, cancelled, or interrupted row is different from a completed lookup with no contact result. Check the explicit row status and the Not completed filter when it is present.
For example, cancelling a run before a profile is processed does not establish that its contact details are unavailable. It tells you that the work did not finish. Review the run before deciding which profiles to submit again.
What to check next
- Confirm that the input is the intended person's LinkedIn profile URL, rather than a company page or search-results link.
- Check the original field selection and each row's final status. Separate unrequested fields, no-match outcomes, and unfinished work.
- Reopen the saved run from Recent to inspect it. You do not need to submit the list again just to see its results.
- If the input or requested fields need to change, start a new run with those changes. Another submission is not a guarantee that a previously missing detail will become available.
- If a failure is unclear, contact support with the saved run context so the issue can be reviewed.
Questions about this workflow
Can an email be available when a phone number is missing?
Yes. Each selected contact field can have a different outcome. Review Personal email, Work email, and Mobile phone individually.
Should I resubmit a list when I close the browser?
No. The saved run continues independently of the tab. Open Recent and return to the original run first.
Where can I ask about a failed run?
Use Contact us in your account or visit Support. Include enough context to identify the run and describe what you saw.
